Cheyenne Regional Medical Center offers a variety of resources for pregnant women and new moms.
Tender Care Program
If you plan to have your baby at Cheyenne Regional, the Tender Care program gives you and your partner or support person the opportunity to talk with a nurse before you deliver. She or he will answer any questions you may have and talk with you about your preferences while you are in the hospital, including:
- Labor options and birth plans
- Feeding preferences
- Visitation and patient care
You will also have the opportunity to tour the Labor and Delivery and the Mother and Baby units at the hospital.
Following delivery, a nurse will also be available to answer questions you have about caring for yourself and your baby.

Prenatal Education
Cheyenne Regional offers a six-week childbirth class that covers topics such as healthy pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn care, and infant safety. There is also an online version if you are unable to take the class in person.

Breastfeeding Resources
Cheyenne Regional has Certified Lactation Counselors and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants on staff to help you be successful with breastfeeding. All staff nurses are trained to help you and your baby with breastfeeding during your hospital stay.

Diabetes Education
Whether you have existing Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes or developed gestational diabetes, Cheyenne Regional offers services to help you manage through the special needs of pregnancy. Talk to your doctor for a referral to the program.
