Glucose Tolerance Screening
Glucose Tolerance Screening With The Fresh Test® at Cheyenne Women’s Clinic
At Cheyenne Women’s Clinic, your health and your baby’s health are our top priorities. One important part of prenatal care is screening for gestational diabetes — a condition that can affect pregnancy but is highly manageable when detected early. We’re excited to offer The Fresh Test®, a cleaner and more natural glucose screening option designed to make the experience easier and more comfortable for moms-to-be.
What Is The Fresh Test®?
Why Do We Screen for Gestational Diabetes?
Gestational diabetes affects how your body processes sugar during pregnancy. While it’s relatively common and often temporary, early detection is essential for maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Screening typically occurs between 24 and 28 weeks, and The Fresh Test® allows us to complete this important test in a more patient-friendly way.
Why We Chose The Fresh Test® for Our Patients
Our team is dedicated to offering the highest standard of care, and that includes choosing products that support your well-being. The Fresh Test® provides several benefits, including:
- A cleaner ingredient list
- No artificial flavors, dyes, or preservatives
- A more pleasant taste
- Gentle on the stomach
- Clinically proven accuracy for glucose tolerance testing
We’re proud to offer this modern, patient-preferred alternative as part of our commitment to healthy, supported pregnancies.
What to Expect During Your Glucose Test
Your provider will let you know when it’s time for your glucose screening — typically during your second trimester. During your visit:
- You’ll drink the Fresh Test® beverage.
- After one hour, a blood sample will be taken to measure your glucose levels.
- Your provider will follow up with results and next steps.
Most patients complete the screening during a regular prenatal visit.
